£80,000 awarded to Unseen

As 2017 draws to a close it has been announced that the money raised by the 250+ TRIBE Riders and Runners who took part in the epic Run for Love II, from Sarajevo to London, will be awarded to Unseen.

Unseen is a Bristol-based charity working towards a world without slavery, by supporting victims, equipping stakeholders and influencing society. The grant awarded by the Freedom Foundation will be used to fund:

  1. Unseen’s pioneering UK Modern Slavery Helpline.
  2. Unseen’s multiple victim safe houses: Women’s Anti-Trafficking Emergency Refuge/ Children in a Place of Safety / Men’s Anti-Slavery Project

We were incredibly impressed and moved by a visit to Unseen and their homes for the survivors of modern slavery. The safe houses are undoubtedly amazing places, delivering life-changing interventions for people in unimaginably dire situations. Unseen’s work stood out above all other projects in terms of its impact and their clarity of vision for the future.
